Instructions for Using Electronically Delivered SAE 2007 Papers

SAE has implemented restrictive Digital Rights Management of their articles. Because of this, you must follow specific instructions on how to access, store and print SAE papers.

  1. Do not open the PDF file from within an email. If you do, you will not be able to open the PDF file in the future.
  2. Choose the computer where you want the SAE document to be stored. You will not be able to use the document on another computer, or network the document to other computers.
  3. Save the PDF document by right-clicking on the document link and choosing "Save Link As".
  4. Open the PDF file that you saved on your computer. You must remain connected to the network for File-Open to work. You must have the Adobe Acrobat File-Open plug-in installed. You may use this process to view the document as many times as you like.
  5. Print a copy of your SAE document for your files. You can only print it once.
